This Kenmore residence commenced life as a small three bedroom asbestos cottage that needed to evolve for a growing family. The architect and Petro Builders negotiated a clever design that allowed the residents to remain in their home during construction. The beautiful eight meter recycled timber posts support a master bedroom, walk- in-robe and ensuite, and also provide weather protection for the deck below without impeding on the openness. The architect provided attractive non-conventional detailing, and thanks to the skilled carpenters at Petro Builders, an incredibly quality result has been achieved. Ten years down the track and the original finishes are beyond reproach.
